Our department is the first cradle in the country to cultivate talents in automatic control engineering. It has been established for more than 40 years. Our graduates are widely distributed in industry, government, and academia, and have demonstrated far-reaching influence in various fields. Since 2008, our department has continuously passed the IEET engineering education certification, and its teaching and courses have been internationally recognized. It has long been committed to cultivating cross-disciplinary professionals with system integration capabilities. The faculty of our department covers forward-looking fields such as optomechanical integration, robotics, self-driving car systems, semiconductor applications, and smart biomedicine. It is closely integrated with the government's 5+2 innovative industrial policies, such as "smart machinery", "biotechnology and medicine", "defense industry", "green energy technology”, and "Asian Silicon Valley", which strongly respond to the trend of Industry 4.0 and future technology. The curriculum planning emphasizes both theory and practice, and through a variety of practical topics and technical training, it cultivates students with both cross-disciplinary "hard power" and "soft power", thereby shaping control engineering professionals that meet the needs of modern industries.
The four years of university are a critical moment to lay the foundation for lifelong learning and professional knowledge. We hope that students can fully master the various basic theories of the Department of Automatic Control, improve their professional skills, and develop a good professional attitude and teamwork spirit during their studies at Feng Chia University, laying a solid foundation for entering the technology industry or further studies in the future. In addition, the department actively expands its international vision, invites international scholars to visit and lecture from time to time, welcomes overseas students to the department for short-term research, and encourages students in the department to visit and exchange abroad to establish deep connections with international academic institutions. Therefore, the graduates of this department have very impressive performance in further studies and employment. Therefore, they have been highly recognized by all sectors of society.
